POCATELLO - Police have received numerous tips in the case of a missing Pocatello man, but Capt. Steve Findley said none of them have helped find Jon Barrett.
Barrett, 68, went missing Nov. 7.
His son, Bryan Lloyd, reported him missing after not hearing from his father for several days.
"All contacts so far have pre-dated his disappearance," Findley said.
Police went to Barrett's home and while his light-green Dodge Caravan was gone, his dogs were in the house. That was unsettling, Lloyd said, because Barrett never left home for long without his dogs.
Barrett weighs approximately 185 pounds, has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. He was often seen walking his dogs through the city.
He was a regular at the McDonald's restaurant across from the Idaho State University campus on Fifth Avenue, and at local thrift stores.
Findley said there is no history of mental illness and it was out of character for Barrett to disappear without telling anyone.
"That's why we are still pursuing the case avidly," Findley said.
