POCATELLO - Pocatello Mayor Roger Chase assured residents that the city's financial situation is solid and said the Gate City is in a good position to ride out the country's brewing economic troubles.

"Our budget is sound," he said Thursday during his annual State of the City address. "I can assure you the city's financial situation is solid."
