Eastern Idaho has been fortunate to be home to a generous handful of volunteer women serving the region through a low-cost animal spay/neuter co-op. All About the Animals has operated an affordable answer to pet sterilization, addressing the mounting issue of unaddressed intact feral cats and dogs. Spanning an area from Rupert and Burley to Blackfoot and I.F., McCammon, Downey and Soda Springs, AAA sets the example of cooperation through civic responsibility.

AAA has operated spay/neuter services for years at Fort Hall, expanding to serve rescues and individuals throughout the region several years ago. Entirely dependent on private grants, fundraisers and individual donations, AAA volunteers and veterinary technicians provide an exclusive service otherwise communally ignored. Volunteers register and help recuperate over 30 cat surgeries and upward of a dozen dogs during a typical 10- to 12-hour staffing. AAA can continue to offer affordable services only through the boundless energy of its staff and veterinary associates. Donations and volunteer help are always appreciated, and information is available at WWW.AAACOALITION.ORG. AAA also provides a cost-free pet food pantry available for the asking.
