BaseballBlackfoot Broncos: Last Thursday, the Broncos defeated the Skyline Grizzlies,13-7, in Idaho Falls, but lost to the Grizzlies the next day in Blackfoot, 11-8, in 8 innings. This week, the Broncos hosted the Hillcrest Knights on Monday.
On Thursday, April 16, the Shelley Russets will be in Blackfoot to face the Broncos at 4 p.m. Then on Friday, April 17, the Broncos will travel to Shelley for a game at 3:30 p.m. Next week, the Broncos will be in Ammon to challenge the Hillcrest Knights on Monday, April 20, at 4 p.m.
Shelley Russets: The Russets defeated the Teton Timberwolves 12-4 in Teton last Tuesday. In back-to-back games against the Hillcrest Knights, the Russets then lost last Thursday, 6-2, in Ammon and lost to the Knights on Friday, 16-6, in Shelley.
This week, the Russets will be in Blackfoot to battle the Broncos on Thursday, April 16, at 4 p.m. On Friday, April 17, they will host the Broncos at 4 p.m. Next Monday, April 20, the Russets will be in Idaho Falls to challenge the Thunder Ridge Titans at 4 p.m.
Snake River Panthers: Last Wednesday, the Panthers lost to the Firth Cougars in Firth, in a 9-inning overtime, for a final score of 5-4. Facing a different Cougar team, the Panthers were in St. Anthony last Thursday, where they lost to the South Fremont Cougars 15-5. On Friday, they were in American Falls and defeated the Beavers 12-0.
The Panthers will host the Bear Lake Bears on Wednesday, April 15, at 4 p.m. Next, they head to Airmo to face the Marsh Valley Eagles on Friday, April 17, at 4 p.m. On Saturday, April 18, the Panthers will be battling the Teton Timberwolves on the road at 11 a.m. And next week the Panthers will be back at home to play the American Falls Beavers on Wednesday, April 22, at 4 p.m.
Firth Cougars: The Cougars decisively shut out the West Jefferson Panthers last Tuesday, 22-0 at home. The next night, they defeated another Panther team — the Snake River type — at home in 9 innings by a close 5-4 score. Last Thursday brought some Cougar on Cougar action in Malad, when Firth lost to Malad, 12-1. This Tuesday, the Cougars were in Ashton to play the North Fremont Huskies.
This Thursday, April 16, the Malad Dragons will be in town to challenge the Cougars at 4 p.m. On Friday, April 17, they will be in Salmon to play the Savages at 4 p.m., and on Saturday, the touring Cougars will be in Declo to face the Hornets at noon. Next week, on Monday, April 20, the team will be in MacKay to go to bat against the Miners at 4 p.m. On Tuesday, April 21, they will be at home to host the Salmon Savages at 4 p.m. — their last home game of the regular season.
SoftballBlackfoot Broncos: The Broncos defeated the Shelley Russets, 17-7, at home last Tuesday. In the second half of that series, where the teams met in Shelley, the Broncos lost 8-7 on Wednesday. The next day, the Broncos split a home double hitter against the Pocatello Thunders by winning the first game, 7-4, and losing the second, 15-12.
This week, the Broncos will host the Skyline Grizzlies in a back-to-back series, Wednesday and Thursday, April 15-16, with both games starting at 3 p.m. A week later, on Wednesday, April 22, the Broncos will be in Idaho Falls to challenge the Tigers at 4 p.m.
Shelley Russets: In Blackfoot, the Russets lost to the Broncos, 17-7, last Tuesday. The next day, they hosted and defeated the Broncos 8-7. And on Friday, the Russets beat the Madison Bobcats, 18-3, at home.
Idaho Falls Tigers are coming to Shelley this week on Wednesday, April 15. The game starts at 4 p.m. for the first in the series. On Thursday, April 16, the Russets will be in Idaho Falls to play the Tigers at 4 p.m. The Teton Timberwolves are the next target in an away game on Monday, April 20, at 4 p.m. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, the battle will be between the Russets and the Bonneville Bees, with the game on Wednesday, April 22, at 4 p.m. in Shelley and the second game the next day in Idaho Falls at 4 p.m.
Snake River Panthers: The Panthers defeated the Firth Cougars in Firth last Wednesday in an 8-inning overtime, 13-12. They went on the road to Ashton and defeated the South Fremont Huskies last Thursday, 11-10. On Friday, the Panthers were at home and lost to the Marsh Valley Eagles, 8-7.

The Cougars played the North Fremont Huskies on Tuesday in Ashton.
