IDAHO FALLS — The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho will offer a variety of adult art classes this December. The TAM is located at 300 S. Capital Ave. in Idaho Falls.
Schedule:
— Beginning drawing for adults: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Perfect for aspiring artists seeking foundational drawing skills. Build your confidence and learn to bring your drawing to life by developing your observational skills and basic drawing techniques. Open to students aged 15 and up.
Registration is $25 for TAM members and $35 for non-members.
— Makers night: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
From collage to cocktails, TAM is bringing classes on various techniques that require no pclrior knowledge and are beginner-friendly. All classes are 18-plus, and will have alcoholic beverages available for attendees aged 21 and older.
Copper wire-wrapped bracelets
Add some sparkle and shine to your winter. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn simple wire-wrapping techniques to craft a beautiful copper bracelet — customized with your choice of beads or stones. Perfect for gift-giving or keeping as your own one-of-a-kind creation, this makers night will have you leaving with wearable art and a new skill to show off.
Registration is $35 for TAM members and $45 for non-members.
— Beginner-friendly: Clay studio: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Perfect for date nights, friend groups, or anyone eager to learn ceramics techniques and level up to intermediate or advanced classes.
— Clay studio with Dustin Thompson: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Best for students who have a thorough knowledge of ceramics techniques and would like to learn to use more advanced techniques in hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing and embellishment of pieces.
Registration is $35 for TAM members and $45 for non-members.
