Wednesday 

• The Pocatello Arts Council and Station Square are teaming up for a one-night art show from one of the Gem State’s premier painters. The works of Carl Rowe will be showcased from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Station Square, 200 S. Main St. in Pocatello. 

• The Idaho State-Civic Symphony will present “Symphony Pairings” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. The evening features a luxury-item silent auction and sommelier-curated wines to accompany each musical selection. Tickets for the Symphony Pairing include wine and ciders, hors d’oeuvres, musical entertainment and a commemorative symphony wine glass. Non-alcoholic options are available. • The ISU School of Performing Arts presents the ISU Bands Concert, featuring the ISU Wind Ensemble and Civic Concert Band, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission, $6 for ISU faculty and staff, $4 for pre-college students and ISU Students are free with a valid Bengal card. Tickets may be purchased at the ISU Box Office or at the Student Union Building. 

• The Union Taproom, inside the Yellowstone Hotel at 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, hosts DJ Trivia every Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Thursday

• Penny Wolf teaches oil painting classes every Thursday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St. Penny is an outstanding artist who excels in portraits, animals and western landscapes. Cost is $12.50 per class. Call 208-232-0970 for more information.

• The Yellowstone Restaurant & Lounge, inside the Historic Hotel Yellowstone, will host Rail City Jazz at 7 p.m. Thursday.

• ISU’s Department of Theatre and Dance will put on a production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Bistline Theatre in Pocatello. Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors, faculty and staff, $10 for children and $7 for ISU students with a Bengal ID and can be purchased at isu.edu/tickets or by calling 208-282-3595.

Friday

• The Union Taproom, inside the Yellowstone Hotel at 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, hosts game night every Friday beginning at 5 p.m. Bring your own game, use one of theirs, or bring a device to play on one of their big-screen TVs. 

• The Yellowstone Restaurant, inside the Historic Hotel Yellowstone, will host Daphne Herway from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. This talented 17-year-old is a self-taught guitar musician and singer.

• The annual Fall Festival Carnival and Fundraiser will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Rulon M. Ellis Elementary School, 5500 Whitaker Road in Chubbuck.

• The Zeppelin IV Tribute will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at The Golden Nugget, 133 W Burnside Ave. in Chubbuck. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Must be 18 or older.

• The Camerata Singers will host their Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. This will be a fabulous night of choral performances featuring works by Brahms, Mozart, Chesnekov, Grotenhuis, Lauridsen and others. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for faculty and staff, $4 for youth ages 6 to 17, and free for ISU students.

• The Union Taproom, inside the Historic Hotel Yellowstone, will host Just For Laughs – For Locals Only Comedy Tour from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 at the door.

• The Comedy Project performs at 8 p.m. every Friday, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. at MP Dance Studios on 575 E. Second Ave. in Pocatello. Admission is $8 or $5 with a student ID. While live, unscripted comedy can be unpredictable, the performers attempt to maintain an approximately PG-13 rating.

• One-man-band Tom Murphy will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. First Ave. in Pocatello.

Friday & Saturday 

• Holiday Market 2019 will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Pinecrest Event Center, 560 E. Anderson in Idaho Falls. Admission is free. 

• ISU Women’s Club will host its annual Holiday Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the ISU Pond Student Union Ballroom. Free parking will be available at the Student Union. Lunch will be available Friday beginning at 11 a.m.

• Old Town Actors Studio, 427 N. Main St., Suite G, in Pocatello, will put on a production of “Last Lists of My Mad Mother” on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at oldtownactorsstudio.net. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

• The Pocatello Model Railroad and Historical Society will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the UPRR brick building 59 south of the UPRR depot and just north of the Benton overpass. Everyone is welcome, and admission is free.

• The Salvation Army will hold its annual Red Kettle Kickoff at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Westside Players, 1009 S. Second Ave. in Pocatello. Tickets are $35 and are available at The Salvation Army at 400 N. Fourth Ave. or at the door.

• The Luddites will be performing from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at The Union Taproom, inside the Historic Hotel Yellowstone. The seasoned musicians in this talented local band perform funk, soul, reggae, rock and more.

• Local band Hot Flash will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. First Ave. in Pocatello.

Sunday

• Jim Dandy Brewing, 305 E. Lander St. in Pocatello, will host a Pebble Pass Picture Party from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Come grab your favorite beer and get your Pebble Creek season pass picture taken for the 2020 season. Thanks a Brunch will be serving food until 6 pm.

Monday 

• The Union Taproom, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, hosts Open Mic Night every Monday. All ages, come and show off. Comedy, poetry, storytelling, and that enigmatic Idaho music. Gear provided. Sign-ups start at 5:30 p.m. Each person will have 15 to 30 until 9 p.m., with a jam to follow.

• Ketchum Burrito, W. Quinn Road in Pocatello, hosts DJ Trivia every Monday at 7 p.m.

Tuesday

• Goody’s, 905 S. Fifth Ave. in Pocatello will host DJ Trivia at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
