There’s good news for those who wish to imbibe during the Fourth of July: Idaho state liquor stores will remain open on the federal holiday.

All stores operated by the Idaho State Liquor Division will be open on Saturday, July 4, the division announced. Contract stores might be open; visit the store locator on idaholiquor.com to see a full list of stores and hours.

State liquor stores will be closed, however, on Sunday, July 5, in observance of America’s 250th birthday. Contract stores might be open.

UPCOMING HOLIDAYS

According to the Idaho Liquor Division, the remaining holiday schedule for 2026 is as follows:

Independence Day (Saturday, July 4): All state-run stores are open during regular hours. Contract stores might be open.

Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7): All state-run stores are open during regular hours. Contract stores might be open.

Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day (Monday, Oct. 12): All state-run stores are open during regular hours. Contract stores might be open.

Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11): All state-run stores are open during regular hours. Contract stores might be open.

Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 26): All state-run stores are closed, and there are no sales at contract stores.

Christmas Eve (Thursday, Dec. 24): All state-run stores open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Contract stores might be open.

Christmas Day (Friday, Dec. 25): All state-run stores are closed, and there are no sales at contract stores.

New Year’s Eve (Thursday, Dec. 31): All state-turn stores are open during regular hours. Contract stores might be open.

New Year’s Day (Friday, Jan. 1, 2027): All state-run stores are closed. Contract stores might be open.
