The awards caught up with the Blackfoot girls basketball team.

After going unbeaten in league play and winning the district tournament en route to a 20-6 season and a state semifinal appearance, the Broncos made a clean sweep of the All-5A High Country Conference team. Blackfoot landed four players on the list, headlined by sophomore Lexi Jackman as Player of the Year and senior Lauren Christiansen as Defensive Player of the Year.

Jackman was a key contributor at both ends for a Broncos team that went a perfect 13-0 against conference opponents. She averaged 10.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while leading Blackfoot in assists.

Christiansen gave opposing offenses fits all season long. The senior led the Broncos with 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game, a fitting sendoff for a three-year starter who anchored a top-3 defense in the classification.

The Broncos also placed freshman Oakley Talbot and senior Jaci Capson on the first team. Talbot led the team in scoring at 15 points per game, while Capson averaged 9.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Hillcrest, which also advanced to the state tournament, landed juniors Kaia Kesler and Camryn Taylor on the first team.
