MOUNTAIN HOME — A young girl has died after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Mountain Home.

The juvenile female, whose identity has not been released by authorities, was crossing East 10th Street North in the 500 block at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, when she was struck by a vehicle, Mountain Home Police said. She was taken to St. Luke’s in Mountain Home where she died from her injuries.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative during the initial investigation. “Officers observed no signs of impairment,” police said.

Police said that the incident remains under investigation and no further information will be released at this time, and cited granting privacy to those involved in not releasing any identities.

“The City of Mountain Home and the Mountain Home Police Department extends its deepest condolences to all of the families affected by this tragic incident,” police said. “We ask that our community keep the families involved in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
