POCATELLO — Shady Grove Music Camp is excited to announce its 2024 meet-and-greet pint night fundraising event will be held at Jim Dandy Brewing on June 13.

Shady Grove Music Camp is a two-day music festival held annually every third weekend in July at FMC Park just north of Pocatello. The festival was founded in 2019 and has graced the Gate City area with what will be its fifth festival on July 19 and 20 this year.

Join us from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Jim Dandy Brewing, 305 E. Lander St. in Pocatello, for an evening of live music, a chance to meet some artists who will be performing at the Grove this year and share a toast with some of the organizers that make this event happen every year.

Jim Dandy will be kindly donating a portion of its beer sales during the event to Shady Grove and we will also be hosting a silent auction with some great items including:

— Skateboard deck, grip tape and one free lesson from Deckadence

— A free six-month subscription to the Idaho State Journal

— Weekend passes to this year’s festival

We will have two artists performing at Shady Grove this year on the patio at Jim Dandy. Those artists include Pocatello singer and songwriter Lex as well as Ken Aho from The Luddites with a solo act.

We will also have an informational booth with some Shady Grove stickers and a sheet for volunteers to sign up. All volunteers get free access to the entire two-day festival.

Jim Dandy Brewing has been the exclusive beer and wine provider for Shady Grove Music Camp for the past few years and, although we may be a little biased, offers the best brews in the Gate City.

Shady Grove Music Camp showcases an eclectic mix of original music from dozens of local and regional bands on three alternating stages for over 20 hours of non-stop music.

The star of the show at Shady Grove Music Camp is surely the musical acts and performers, but the event melds independent art installations, delectable food and beverages, yoga and meditation, craft vendors and camping for an exceptional music festival experience.

The venue at FMC Park is located on Pocatello’s north side and rests on a 20-acre, grass-covered and tree-lined park nestled near the Portneuf River. A central playground with swings and some playground toys offers a great place for children and youth to stay occupied.

The venue has served the Gate City community for decades, originally as a park for FMC employees and later as spot for picnics, family reunions, weddings and other gatherings.

Shady Grove got its name in part, thanks to the plethora of large elm, cottonwood and willow trees at the venue that offer an oasis of shade and a respite from the hot July sun.

The headlining bands at Shady Grove Music Camp 2024 are AL1CE from Los Angeles, California, Banshee Tree from Denver, Colorado, WARPONY and the Troubadours from Missoula, Montana, and The Medicine Company from Salt Lake City, Utah.
