A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11:30 AM WEDNESDAY FOR CARIBOU, ONEIDA, SOUTHEASTERN BANNOCK, SOUTHEASTERN POWER, SOUTHEASTERN BONNEVILLE, FRANKLIN, BEAR LAKE, EAST CENTRAL BINGHAM AND SOUTHEASTERN CASSIA COUNTIES.

At 11:01 AM, a line of severe thunderstorms was located from just east of Bone to near Bridge, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD: 80 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE: Radar indicated. This storm has a history of producing gusts from 60 to 85 mph.

IMPACT: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Locations impacted include Preston, Soda Springs, Montpelier, Malad, Lava Hot Springs, Swan Lake, Blackfoot Reservoir, Wayan, Palisades Reservoir, Bear Lake, Grace, Franklin, Downey, Georgetown, Paris, Saint Charles, Juniper, Dingle, Thatcher, Oneida Narrows Reservoir, and Cherry Creek Rest Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION with extreme wind speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be overturned. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This storm has the potential to cause serious injury and significant property damage.
