PRESTON − Soul Deep Yoga is now open in Preston and offers more than just movement and exercise.
Co-owners Kimmy Harker and Brittney Wells opened the studio, located at 75 S State St., with a shared belief that the community was ready for a space rooted in connection, healing and a sense of belonging.
Harker was a yoga teacher when she met Wells. What started as a love for yoga grew into conversations about community and the possibility of offering a space for others to truly exhale and heal from the chaos of life.
It was a long-carried dream of Harker’s to open her own studio. Alongside Wells, the pair brought vision and courage to turn the dream into a reality, trusting the process and now watching the hard work pay off.
Small town options are often limited, but Harker and Wells viewed this as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
They hope to offer an experience beyond yoga simply as a physical exercise practice. Soul Deep Yoga is a space for healing, transformation and support. Many who attend classes are navigating grief, burnout, trauma or disconnection.
The studio strives to meet students exactly where they are without pressure or performance expectations.
Soul Deep Yoga hopes to provide high-quality classes and workshops that welcome all, no matter their yoga background or experience level. The studio’s focus is set on creating a supportive, judgment-free environment that encourages personal growth and self-discovery.
From the moment students walk through the door, the goal is simple: to help them feel calm, grounded, welcomed and seen. The studio offers a variety of styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Hot Hatha, Restorative, FlowYin, Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Gentle, Qi Gong and Soulful Sunday Yoga. Classes are designed to support both beginners and the more experienced, with clear cues and modifications available throughout.
Beyond the mat, Soul Deep Yoga weaves music, breathwork, meditation, essential oils and thoughtful themes, along with community events such as sound baths, workshops and seasonal gatherings.
For Harker and Wells, success is measured by how people feel when they leave − hopefully feeling lighter, supported and more connected.
