LAVA HOT SPRINGS — The hottest concert series in Lava is set to return for its second season of music, fun and family-friendly entertainment.

According to a news release from Sam Netuschil, the organizer of the Lava Flow Live Concert Series, there will be 21 concerts throughout the season. The first one was Saturday, May 24, and the last one will be Saturday, Oct. 4.

Each concert takes place in Lava Flow Grove, the grassy area across from the swimming pool at 195 N. Center St. Each concert begins at 6 p.m. with an open-mic hour. The headliners perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

All of the concerts are on Saturdays except for the one on Friday, July 4.

Tickets for the concerts are $15 and include a free drink. Options for free drinks include beer, canned cocktails, wine, soda or water. Ticket purchases also include access to on-site food and beverages from the Tipsy Canoe trailer.

Season passes are available for $199. Purchasers have access to all 21 concerts and a free drink each night.

Netuschil, a local entrepreneur, launched this concert series because he wanted to find a way to shine the spotlight on emerging talent.

“We’re thrilled to bring up-and-coming bands from around the country to our resort town, emphasizing music’s power to unite community and tourists alike,” Netuschil said in the news release.

The first concert of the season featured Columbia Jones as its headliner. Other performers so far include Trial & Error and Tyler Gould. Headliners for future concerts include Almost Famous with Paige Anne, Aaron Ball Band, Seize the Night, Free Creatures and The Glitter Bombs.

The Lava Flow Live Concert Series offers community members a chance to experience performances by local and national bands.

Tickets can be purchased at lavaflowlive.com. Information about each performer is available on the website, where people can choose which concerts to attend.
