POCATELLO — Bigger, brighter and better than ever, the 35th annual Christmas in the Nighttime Skies returns for an unforgettable evening, providing holiday cheer and cherished memories for adults and children alike.

The magical holiday tradition, presented by the Marine Corps League, brings the Gate City community together for a night of dazzling sights and Christmas themed delights..

From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bannock County Event Center, 10588 Fairground Drive, on Saturday, area residents can cozy up to glowing bonfires, stacked hotdogs and enjoy the crisp November weather with friends and families, all while supporting a worthwhile cause.

A spectacular aerial fireworks display, produced by ACME Pro Pyro, begins promptly at 8 p.m.

Entry to the event requires a simple donation of a toy, which will be distributed by the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation to children in the community who might otherwise go without a gift on Christmas morning.

“This year’s celebration also marks the beginning of the nation’s 250th anniversary — a perfect moment to gather, give thanks and spread generosity to those who need it most,” a Marine Corps press release said. “For many kids, this toy is the only one they will receive. Your generosity can help light up a child’s face on Christmas morning.”
