FORT HALL — A four-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Fort Hall sent two people to the hospital Thursday morning, according to the Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred about 10:39 a.m. on the southbound lane of I-15 at milepost 84 in Bingham County, authorities said.

Police say a 27-year-old Pocatello man driving a 2018 Toyota RAV4 attempted to use the crossover at milepost 84 when the driver of a 2024 Ford Maverick, an 84-year-old Pocatello man struck the RAV4.

The collision caused a chain-reaction crash when a 65-year-old Chubbuck man driving a 2022 BMW then hit the Maverick, and a 60-year-old Cardiff, California, man in a 2026 Genesis rear-ended the BMW, police said.

The Maverick’s driver and a passenger in the Genesis — a 59-year-old woman from San Diego, California — were transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance, according to police.

The other drivers and a 63-year-old Chubbuck woman riding as a passenger in the BMW were not transported, police said.

All drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts, police said.

The left lane of I-15 was blocked for approximately one hour during the investigation.

Idaho State Police were assisted by the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Hall EMS.
