Twin Falls 52, Century 47

TWIN FALLS - A strong second half lifted the Twin Falls girls' basketball team over Century, 52-47, on Tuesday night.

On the strength of an 8-2 advantage in the second quarter, the Diamondbacks took a 24-14 lead into halftime, but the Bruins erupted for 20 points in the third quarter to draw within 36-34 heading into the final frame.

In the fourth, Twin Falls proved to be too much, as it outscored Century 18-11 in the decisive frame. With the Bruins' win, the two teams ended up splitting their season series, as the Diamondbacks won 66-61 on Nov. 21 at Century.

Brooke Dial and Tasi Kelemete each scored 12 points to lead the Diamondbacks (4-3).

Century will next play Thursday at Burley.
