POCATELLO — There will be a second Saturday contra dance Feb. 10 at the Assemblé Learning & Event Center, 820 E. Young St. in Pocatello. Beginner's dance instruction is 7 p.m., and dancing will be from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

This is a family-friendly event. No experience or partner is required. 

The caller and teacher will be Luann Claussen, and the band will be Rune Stone (Stephanie Luker, flute; Karen Bechtel, cello; Liz Cartwright, cello; Evelyn Hitchcock, accordion; Ken King, tin whistle, mandolin, banjo, bodhran; Judy DelDebbio, 12 string guitar; and Lyman Asay, fiddle). Rune Stone has been bringing great music to the Pocatello area for around 20 years.

Please bring soft-soled shoes to protect the dance floor. Attendees are also invited to bring a snack to share.

The dance costs $10 per individual or $25 per family. Discounts are offered for groups of four or more. Need-based discounts are available as well.
