Salt Lake City International Airport is one of 14 airports that will allow approved visitors to send off or greet travelers at airport gates rather than waiting outside security checkpoints.

The project will be conducted in phases through 2030 and will add three more baggage claim carousels, a second security checkpoint, more retail shops and food concessions, and the ability to add three more gates for flights.
