Highland split its two games Saturday at a tournament in St. George, Utah, beating Brighton, Utah, 15-7 in five innings and falling 12-5 to North Sanpete, Utah.Â
In their first game of the day, the Rams tallied 10 hits, including three from Makayia Anderson. Highland led 10-3 after three innings of play, and the offensive production was more than enough for Shylee Mann, who picked up the win in the circle.Â
The Rams closed the tournament with a one-sided loss to North Sanpete. Highland led 1-0 after the top of the first, but North Sanpete scored seven combined runs over the next three innings to pull away. Anderson had a home run and two RBIs in the loss.Â
Highland (3-2) plays March 16 at Skyview.Â
