POCATELLO RAZORBACKS 11, IDAHO FALLS TIGERS 7 (4)

The Razorbacks stayed unbeaten in the Razorbacks/BSN Sports Wood Bat tournament Friday, beating the Idaho Falls Tigers 11-7 in four innings.

Pocatello scored nine times in the opening frame. Kolmon Farnsworth went 2 for 3 from the plate with two doubles and four RBIs for the game, while Trei Hough and Nick McAdam drove in two runs apiece.

The Razorbacks (14-5) continue the tournament Saturday.

POCATELLO REBELS 6, BLACKFOOT 3

KIMBERLY 9, POCATELLO REBELS 1 (5)

Pocatello went 1-1 Friday, beating Blackfoot 6-3 before losing to Kimberly 9-1 in five innings at Halliwell Park in the Razorbacks/BSN Sports Wood Bat tournament.

The Rebels jumped ahead of the Broncos 4-0 in the bottom of the first inning before cruising to a win. Kimberly pulled away with a six-run fifth inning in Pocatello's second game.

The Kimberly matchup did not count toward Poky's tournament record.

"Our kids played like it didn't count," Rebels coach Jason Jones said. "We just didn't hit the baseball tonight like we did this morning against Blackfoot."

The Rebels had six hits in the first game, including four combined base knocks from Carlos Pimentel and Grayson Hunt.

Jones was pleased with Jaxon Hill's pitching performance against the Broncos. He allowed one earned run and four hits, while striking out five and walking four.

Pocatello (9-11, 5-7 Area C) and Blackfoot continue the tournament Saturday.

IDAHO FALLS BEES 3, MARSH VALLEY 2

Marsh Valley lost to Idaho Falls 3-2 on Friday in its final game of pool play at Razorbacks/BSN Sports Wood Bat tournament at Halliwell Park.

The Bees notched the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning after blowing their two-run lead. Idaho Falls led 2-0 after two innings, but Marsh Valley tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth.

Payton Campbell and Isaac Bowman notched Marsh Valley's lone two hits Friday.

Marsh Valley continues tournament play Saturday in the elimination round.

BLACKFOOT 11, JEROME 1 (6)

BLACKFOOT 8, JEROME 3

Blackfoot swept Jerome at home Friday behind an offensive outburst, winning game one 8-3 and game two 11-1 in six innings.

In the opener, Carter Cooper had a team-high two RBIs for Double-A Blackfoot. Eight different Broncos tallied a hit in game one, while Payson Mills earned the complete-game win on the mound after scattering seven hits and striking out seven.

In the nightcap, Blackfoot broke the game open with three runs in the first, third and fourth innings to earn the mercy-rule win. Peyton Whitaker had four RBIs for the Broncos, who had 10 hits in the win. Blackfoot's Rhys Pope pitched six innings of three-hit ball.

"I was really pleased," Blackfoot coach Liam Pope said. "We had two strong pitching outings, and the offense was there. I can't ask for more. It was a complete performance."

Blackfoot plays Tuesday at Twin Falls.
