The Bannock County Coroner’s Office, in cooperation with Idaho State Police, has confirmed the identity of the deceased following the single-vehicle crash that occurred on October 24, 2025, on northbound Interstate 15 milepost 70 in Bannock County.

Deceased: Randell Case (male), 47, of Pocatello

Next of kin has been notified.

The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.

“I want to express my condolences to Randell’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said Coroner Torey Danner.

POCATELLO — Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:00 a.m. on October 24, 2025, on northbound Interstate 15 milepost 70 in Pocatello.

At about 2:00 a.m., a 47-year-old male from Pocatello was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 driving a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT. The driver veered to the right, hit the guardrail and went over it, and struck the Monte Vista overpass pillar.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Two of the three northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for 3 hours for cleanup. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
