Events this week in Old Town!

The Company Dance Collaboration is holding its monthly workshop on Thursday at Discovery Dance School, 310 E Clark. You get two instructors and two different styles for only $5! The evening will feature 7 to 8 p.m. Hip-hop with Sheena Phelps and 8 to 9 p.m. Lyrical with Krystal King. You can drop in for both classes or just one, but either way the cost is $5. Open to intermediate and advanced dancers over the age of 18.

A beginning digital photography 4-week class starts on Thursday and will continue each Thursday during May at Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St. The classes will run from 5 to 7 p.m. with instructor Richard Albright. This course will help students become comfortable with their digital cameras. The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market is now open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Market will feature bedding plants, hanging flower baskets, fresh produce, locally made art, crafts, jewelry, and more, all at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St.

Join Portneuf Valley Bike To Work, Bannock Planning & Transportation, Pocatello Police Department, College Neighborhood Association & Old Town Pocatello for the Annual Bike Parade & BBQ. On Friday, May 18, bring your kids and your bikes to the Old Town Pavilion for information booths, bike rodeo, BBQ and bike parade. Barrie’s Ski and Sports and East Fork Bikes will be present to conduct free visual inspections and teach you more about bike safety. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Bannock Civitans will kick off the Revive @ 5 Summer Concerts on Wednesday, May 23. Live music will begin at 5 p.m. featuring The Voltz. ISU Credit Union is that week’s sponsor and they will be hosting Educator’s Night. PV’s Uncorked on Main will be the featured restaurant with delicious food.
