President Donald Trump has attended the Presidents Cup for the second time. Sunday's appearance was the fourth time this year for Trump to be at a golf tournament. He says the PGA Tour was nice enough to name him honorary chairman. It's a traditional role offered to every head of state in the country hosting the match-play event. Trump attended the Presidents Cup at Liberty National in New Jersey in 2017 during his first term. This time he was on the first tee for the start of all 12 matches. He also participated in the closing ceremony, helping with the presentation of the trophy to the winning U.S. team.

Jackson Koivun looked quite comfortable in his Presidents Cup debut. More like a seasoned veteran than the youngest player on the U.S. team. The 21-year-old Koivun defeated Si Woo Kim 2 up in singles, part of an epic rally for the Americans in a 17-13 victory over the International squad. The former Auburn star went 2-0-1 in his three matches at Medinah Country Club in suburban Chicago. U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker says Koivun is special. Koivun led the Tigers to the NCAA title in June. Almost two months later, the California native won the 3M Open in his third professional start.
