Idaho State’s Skyler Phillips and Mario Jenkins were named to Phil Steele’s FCS All-America teams, announced Friday.
Phillips, a redshirt senior offensive lineman, was name to Steele’s first-team offense. Phillips adds to his list of accomplishments, as he was named a third-team AP FCS All-American on Tuesday, accepted an invitation to the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl and earned first-team All-Big Sky Conference accolades in November.
Jenkins, a redshirt senior linebacker, earned fourth-team defensive honors from Steele. Jenkins finished the final season of his college career with 111 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles to earn first-team all-conference honors.
Steele is a football sportswriter who publishes an annual preseason college football magazine and has been a member of multiple award voting committees.
