MERIDIAN — Construction is underway for a second Costco in Meridian.

Located in the southern portion of the city at the intersection of South Meridian and West Lake Hazel roads, it will be the wholesale retailer’s fourth store in the Treasure Valley and eighth in the state.

“This site is going to be one of the largest Costcos at just a little over 200,000 square feet,” real estate agent Jake Farris, of the Farris Home Team at Keller Williams, said in a YouTube video touring the location earlier this summer.

Farris clarified to the Idaho Press that his team was not involved in real estate transactions regarding the site, but was advertising it as a potential drawing point for those interested in moving to the area.

Like the one on Chinden Boulevard and roughly two-thirds of Costco locations, the Lake Hazel Costco will also have a gas station with 16 pumps. It will also have nearly a thousand parking stalls, according to documents filed with the city of Meridian.

When the site opens in late 2026, it will make Meridian the only city in Idaho with two Costcos.

Costco’s other Idaho locations are Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Nampa, Pocatello and Twin Falls.
