Rexburg Police have identified a man suspected of harassing apartment residents at South First West and South Second West last week.

Police identified Connor Jai Wood, 27, for lurking around apartments on August 25 and for doing so again on Saturday. That day, he was arrested.

Wood was arraigned on Tuesday and later cashed out on bond.

Apartment residents had complained about Wood allegedly prowling around the apartments a week prior to his arrest. On Saturday he was accused of doing so again but this time he was naked.

Officers caught up to him on Saturday after chasing him through the neighborhood. Police spotted him near South First West at which point Wood bolted. Police later caught up to him, surrounding him in a backyard where he was arrested around 4 a.m. that day. He apparently tried to escape again as he was charged with resisting and obstructing officers.

Wood was then arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail where he was charged with malicious injury to property, indent exposure, stalking in the second degree and arrests/seizures-resisting or obstructing officers.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims or witnesses. If you have information that may assist with the investigation, contact the Rexburg Police Department at (208) 359-3000.
