The Yellowstone Restaurant, 313 Whiskey Bar and The Union Taproom kicked off their ninth-year celebration week with an exceptional event Monday evening. Thank you to The Yellowstone Restaurant’s owners Jen and Rory Erchul and their amazing staff for hosting a superb experience during their “A Taste of Downtown — A Five-Course Downtown Pocatello Pairing.” The event included delicious cocktails and wines paired with handcrafted menu items featuring Yellowstone select dishes and sides with guest fellow Downtown businesses featured during each course.
Gate City Coffee featured Elaine’s delicious cinnamon rolls. Off the Rails Brewing featured their Rush Golden Ale. Braise Zen Pizza featured their Magic Margherita and The Marlet Maven pizzas. The Yellowstone’s Cherry Bourbon-Marinated Filet Medallions were fork-tender and full of flavor. To end the evening, Glean Coffee Roasters presented a Dark Chocolate Espresso Cremoux alongside The Yellowstone’s Lemon-Zested Raspberry Espresso Martini.

Tickets for this year’s Haunted History Walking Tours are now available! Join SPIRO Paranormal, The Avenue Event Center and Historic Downtown Pocatello on the Fridays and Saturdays during October to tour four haunted locations on the east side of Downtown Pocatello. On our tours we go inside the buildings, not just walk by. Ticket holders have the opportunity to learn about the history of the building and experience firsthand the charm and haunts inside. The Portneuf Resource Council will be holding its annual Southeast Idaho Electric Car Show in Pocatello Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in conjunction with National Drive Electric Month. The show will be next to the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market, at Lookout Point, in the south parking lot next to the Marshall Public Library. Seasoned local electric vehicle owners will be showing their electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and will be able to answer questions about range, cost, maintenance, charging and more.
