The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco announced its newest appointments and a reappointment to its Salt Lake City board to start the new year.
Barber brings extensive leadership experience from CEI, where she’s championed growth, new degrees and innovative pathways for students, solidifying her role in regional economic and educational strategy.
She previously served as the CEI vice president of academic and student affairs and dean, known for leading significant growth and developing applied bachelor’s degrees.
This new role connects regional education with economic development, leveraging Barber’s understanding of workforce needs and student success to inform the Federal Reserve’s perspective on the 12th District’s economy.
Matt Lyon, CEO and president of WCF Mutual Insurance Company in Sandy, Utah, joins Barber as a new appointment.
Jeremy D. Hafen, president and CEO of Clyde Companies in Orem, Utah, was reappointed for a second term.
In addition, Lisa A. Grow, president and CEO of IDACORP and Idaho Power in Boise, was redesignated to serve as chair of the Salt Lake City Branch Board in 2026.
The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 requires each of the 12 Reserve Banks to operate under the supervision of a board of directors.
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Head Office Board is governed by nine directors who represent the interests of the Twelfth Federal Reserve District and whose experience provides the bank with a wider range of expertise that helps it fulfill its policy and operational responsibilities.
