An Idaho Falls woman has been charged with aggravated battery after she reportedly stabbed her roommate in the head with a fork.

The victim told Idaho Falls police that Lacey Sandoval, 38, stabbed her after the two had an argument over dishes, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The victim was bleeding from the puncture wounds when officers arrived. A paramedic was called to the scene to treat her injury, but the victim refused to go to a hospital.

Sandoval reportedly attempted to stab the victim a second time after the victim pushed her off. The victim said she was able to block Sandoval with her hand, but her finger was cut in the process. She said Sandoval also threw a glass cup at her, but missed.

The responding officer wrote in the probable cause affidavit that they found blood near the residence's sink and on the floor. Broken glass was found near a bloodstain, and the fork was found on the floor.

Sandoval was not at the residence when police arrived. Court records say an arrest warrant was served Friday.

Aggravated battery is punishable with up to 10 years in prison. Her bond was set at $5,000 and a judge ordered that she report to pretrial supervision if released.
