IDAHO FALLS — A new car wash has opened in Idaho Falls, promising customers the best experience possible.
Danielle Kingston, owner of Black Tie Car Wash, said the business is located at 2535 W. Broadway St. It officially opened at the beginning of April and has already served hundreds of cars.
"Our detail center isn't open yet," Kingston said. "But it should be open in the next week or two."
While building the car wash, Kingston said she wanted to find brushes that would gently clean cars without scratching them — a problem she said exists at many car washes.
"We wanted to make sure we found the right type of equipment," Kingston said. "We have 12 airplane turbine dryers that dries the car very well."
Black Tie Car Wash has already attracted significant interest. Kingston said the business reached its 500th customer in April, marking the occasion with an event on April 20.
"The driver of that car won a VIP membership," Kingston said. "The woman who came through, it was her first time. She was a disabled woman who had problems with her hands. We're helping her with whatever she needs."
Kingston said Black Tie Car Wash is a recognition car wash, meaning it celebrates customer milestones with givebacks. The company plans to continue marking such milestones in the future.
"We tell the staff that we aren't here to wash cars, we're here to provide an experience for our customers," Kingston said.
Customers are already anticipating the detail center's opening, which Kingston said will offer a high standard of service — particularly for those with limited mobility.
"We have a lot of older customers who don't have the ability to get out and vacuum," Kingston said. "We can provide that service and they can have the feel-good experience they're looking for."
The detail center will open once it receives its Certificate of Occupancy, which Kingston said she hopes will happen soon.
"We're just waiting for a couple of minor changes," Kingston said. "Then we should be able to move in and get open."
