The 4A District 5 crown is likely on the line Friday as Preston (5-2) plays Pocatello (5-2) in the penultimate regular season game of the year.
The Indians are coming off an impressive 32-0 shutout of Century while the Thunder are a week removed from a dominating performance of their own, a 42-28 victory over Shelley.

FIRST QUARTER
POCATELLO 7, PRESTON 0, 6:40 -- Pocatello starts the game on a 10-play, 80-yard drive that lasted 5:20. Quarterback Ryan Pyne completed 5 of 6 passes for 70 yards and finished the drive with a beautiful 20-yard TD pass to Matt Christensen in the corner of the end zone.
Preston coaches thought the ball hit the ground, but the refs stuck with the TD call.
POCATELLO 7, PRESTON 6, 1:56 -- Preston DB Chevy Nelson picks off Ryan Payne and Preston capitalizes with a Tyler Lindhardt TD catch. The Indians' passing attack has been great so far. QB Brecker Knapp is 7 of 9 passing for almost 60 yards.
SECOND QUARTER
PRESTON 14, POCATELLO 7, 1:09 -- Preston capitalizes off the third Pocatello turnover of the half and Brecker Knapp hits Tyler Lindhardt on an 11-yd TD pass on fourth down.
Knapp is now 14 of 20 for 121 yards and 2 TDs.
PRESTON 14, POCATELLO 10, 0:00 -- Pocatello executes a beautiful minute-long drive to get into FG range before the half. Kade Jensen drills a 34-yarder as time expired.
THIRD QUARTER
Pocatello catches a break to start the half. First, Preston gets called for a chop block inside the 10. Then, the Indians miss a 26-yard field goal. Thunder still down just 4.
Pocatello gets in great field position off a 53-yard pass from Julian Bowie to Matt Christensen, but Pocatello can't finish in the red zone and the Thunder missed a 23-yard field goal.

On the first play of the fourth quarter, Pocatello DB Krue Hales picks off a pass and the Thunder offense are back in business.
POCATELLO 17, PRESTON 14, 7:52 -- After the Hales interception, the Thunder offense needs eight plays and four minutes to go 35 yards and regain the lead. QB Ryan Payne punched in a 1-yard TD.
