IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man is charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and statutory rape following an investigation into accusations that he inappropriately touched a 5-year-old on several occasions.
Steven Bodkin, 36, was also taken into custody last Saturday night on a failure to appear warrant that was issued for his arrest recently in Texas, according to police. The charge Bodkin faces there is indecency with a child.
Idaho Falls Police Department officials indicated that the Idaho-based investigation began after the child’s mother contacted them.
Also arrested over the weekend was Kent B. Lambson, 23, of Ammon, who is charged with grand theft.
Authorities say Lambson stole $2,260 in cash, two razors and a toy helicopter from Sears over the last six months.
The man was reportedly an employee at the Sears located at 2300 E. 17th St. According to police, the store manager reported the series of thefts last Friday.
