The Rocky Mountain Heroes Tribute is this upcoming weekend, Friday through Sunday.

The three-day tribute weekend will consist of a banquet, a concert followed by fireworks, as well as a patriotic devotional.

Friday evening kicks off with the Heroes Tribute banquet at 6:30 p.m. at the Riverwood’s Conference Center. The evening will honor Micheal Allred, who was serving near Balad, Iraq, in 2009 when he was killed.

On Saturday morning, Cache Valley motorcyclists will ride for the 19th Annual Lance Corporal Michael J. Allred “Ride for the Fallen” at Elk Ridge Park at 8 a.m.

At Willow Park that evening, a free patriotic concert featuring Nashville country artist Cole Hartley will be held at 7 p.m. followed by Logan City’s rescheduled fireworks from July 24. Fireworks will take place following the concert or at dusk.

The weekend will conclude Sunday evening with a free patriotic devotional at 7 p.m. at Elk Ridge Park in North Logan.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Center.

According to Rocky Mountain Veterans Center Director Colonel Wallace “Wally” Odd, who is a retired U.S Air Force veteran, “We want our Gold Star Families to know their loved ones are still remembered, our veterans to know their service still matters, and our community to have an opportunity to personally say, ‘We remember. We honor. We are grateful.’‘“
