BLACKFOOT — The Zions Bank Foundation has donated $2,500 to the Bingham Healthcare Foundation to support the purchase of new equipment for Bingham Memorial Hospital. Troy Eppich, manager of Zions Bank’s Blackfoot branch and past foundation board chairman, presented the check Wednesday to foundation board members.
Funds will be used to support the purchase of a new bronchoscope, which allows healthcare providers to see inside the airways and lungs through a minimally invasive approach. It plays a critical role in helping doctors diagnose lung problems, collect and evaluate samples, and treat some lung and airway conditions. This device will also allow Bingham Memorial Hospital to provide these services locally instead of transporting patients to a larger hospital.
“Local medical professionals need the right tools to help improve health outcomes and save lives,” said Eppich. “We’re pleased that this donation will strengthen the Blackfoot community.”
