On the eve of a highly-anticipated football season, Idaho State has a new radio home.
ISU’s athletic department has partnered with Riverbend Communications to broadcast all home and away contests for football and men’s basketball for the 2015-16 seasons. There will also be a weekly coaches show during the school year.
All games will be broadcast on KEIR 101.1 FM, 92.7 FM (in Blackfoot), 690 AM and 1260 AM. The broadcasts will also be streamed live on eastidahonews.com.
"We are thrilled to partner with Riverbend Communications," said Idaho State Director of Athletics Jeff Tingey. "This is a great opportunity for Idaho State Athletics to reach an audience that is untapped."
Jerry Miller will continue to be the "Voice of the Bengals" for all football, men's basketball and coaches show broadcasts. Mark Liptak will provide color commentary for all football games and Brad Bugger will continue be the analyst for men's basketball home games.
"This is going to be a great partnership for the community, the university and for our company," said Steve Poulsen, general manager of Riverbend Communications. "We are pleased to add Idaho State University athletics to our great array of products we offer to the people (of) east Idaho.”
The Idaho State football team will open the 2015 season ranked No. 24 in the FCS Coaches Poll. The Bengals finished the 2014 season 8-4 and 6-2 in Big Sky Conference play. ISU was picked to finish fourth in the conference by the media and sixth by the coaches.
