SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has ordered state agencies to stop disbursing federal money to the state arm of Planned Parenthood. 

Herbert said in a statement Friday that the Utah Department of Health will stop passing along federal money to the organization for programs like STD testing, sex education and screening for victims of sexual assault. 

The move after the release of secretly recorded videos by an anti-abortion group showing Planned Parenthood officials in Houston describing how they provide fetal tissue from abortions for medical research.

Herbert says he is deeply troubled by the recent allegations. 

The order doesn’t bar the group from receiving the federal money, which totals about $223,000. Planned Parenthood officials could not immediately be reached for comment. 

The organization was barred from using federal or state money for abortions.
