Idaho State had three players on the STATS FCS Preseason All- America Teams released Thursday.

Junior tight end Josh Cook was named to the first team, senior wide receiver Madison Mangum garnered second-team honors and senior running back Xavier Finney was placed on the third team.

Cook has been one of the top tight ends in the nation the last two seasons, hauling in 37 passes for 524 yards and three touchdowns in 2014. He had a long reception of 69 yards and was a third-team All-Big Sky Conference selection.

Mangum caught 83 passes for 1,234 and 10 touchdowns last season. He averaged 112.2 receiving yards per game and earned first-team all-league honors.

Finney broke Idaho State’s single-season rushing records in 2014 as he ran for 1,495 yards and 14 touchdowns on 259 attempts. Finney earned first-team all-conference honors last season.

The Big Sky Conference had 15 players represented on the Preseason All-American teams, the second most out of any FCS conference. The three Bengals on the preseason All-American team tied for the fourth most out of any FCS school and the most in the Big Sky Conference. Eastern Washington was the only other school in the conference with three players (junior wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and senior offensive linemen Aaron Neary and Clay DeBord).

Idaho State opens the 2015 season on Sept. 5 versus Black Hills State in Holt Arena. ISU then hosts Portland State a week later before playing four straight road games at Boise State (Sept. 18), UNLV (Sept. 26), Cal Poly (Oct. 3) and North Dakota (Oct. 10). ISU returns to Pocatello to host reigning Big Sky champion Eastern Washington on Oct. 17 before playing at Sacramento State on Oct. 24.

ISU’s final two home games are versus Montana (Nov. 7) and Montana State (Nov. 14). The Bengals close out the 2015 season at Weber State on Nov. 21.

Kickoff times for the Black Hills State and Portland State games will be at 4:05 p.m. The final three home games against the Eagles, Grizzlies and Bobcats will start at 2:35 p.m.

Season and single game tickets are on sale now at the ISU Ticket Office. Season Tickets are $84 and individual tickets are $18 if purchased early.

Single-game adult tickets will be $20 if purchased on game day for the Black Hills State and Portland State games. For the Eastern Washington, Montana and Montana State games, tickets are $25 on game days.
