The left lane of travel eastbound on Interstate 86 near Simplot has been opened after a semi truck fire forced the closure of both lanes earlier today.

Idaho State Police and Fort Hall and Chubbuck firefighters responded to the blaze Friday morning at exit 58 near the Simplot plant. Both eastbound lanes were temporarily blocked while emergency vehicles work to clear the scene.
