Backpack - Generic

IDAHO FALLS — Officials with CenturyLink Inc. are hosting a food drive June 3-7 at their retail kiosk inside the Grand Teton Mall, 2300 E. 17th St.

Interested persons can support the CenturyLink Feed the Children Backpack Buddies food drive by dropping non-perishable off at the kiosk or at the CenturyLink call center located at 1795 International Way.

All items will be passed on to The Idaho Foodbank.

“We’re pleased to partner with The Idaho Foodbank to support their backpack program,” said Jim Schmit, CenturyLink’s vice president and general manager for Idaho. “The idea of people, especially children, going without food is inconceivable. We hope that our food drive effort can help fund this program and raise awareness of the need in our local community.”

Those with the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation have pledged to match donations at $1 per pound of food donated.

Community members can also make monetary donations by logging on to the following link: https://www.idahofoodbank.org/fd/CgdkxYOrnT/IFB-century-link.
