Area law enforcement officers responded to several crashes on Wednesday, two of which involved injuries. 

Pocatello police and Pocatello Fire Department units responded to a two-vehicle wreck in the area of Hawthorne Road and North Main Street on Wednesday night. 

Two adult females were transported to the hospital following the incident, but neither appeared to have any life-threatening injuries, according to Pocatello Fire Department officials. 

Few details were available on Wednesday night, but police said the crash involved a Suburban, which overturned in the intersection, and a pickup. The southbound lane of Garrett Way was closed while emergency responders cleared the scene. 

Idaho State police also responded to two crashes on Interstate 15, between Clark Street and Pocatello Creek Road, around 4 p.m. 

In the first incident, police said Downey resident Jennie Morrison, 18, was traveling north in a Volkswagen Bug when she apparently looked away from the road while trying to adjust her sock. Her vehicle subsequently went off the left side of the road, and she overcorrected; the vehicle then went back onto the road and crossed three lanes before crashing into a guardrail. 

Morrison was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, police said. She was listed in stable condition on Wednesday night, according to hospital officials. 

Two lanes of traffic were shut down during rush hour while a tow truck removed the vehicle from the guardrail, police said. 

In the second incident, Chubbuck resident Michael Hymas, 54, failed to slow down in the heavy traffic. Police said he lost control of his Chevy Lumina while trying to prevent a rear-end collision, and the vehicle overturned. The car sideswiped a GMC Envoy, driven by Pocatello resident Leslie Orchard, 47. 

Neither driver was injured in the incident, police said. 

Idaho State Police, Bannock County Search and Rescue and Pocatello Fire Department units also responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 15 in the Arimo area Wednesday afternoon.

The rollover occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes. Police said no one was injured in the incident. 

Police also responded to several slide-offs in that area, which was reportedly slick.
