Delaney Moore Idaho

Idaho State’s Delaney Moore goes up for a basket against Idaho’s Taylor Pierce in their game last season at Reed Gym.

The Idaho State women’s basketball team has a schedule full of notable opponents this coming season — including a trip to play at a college basketball mecca.

ISU’s 2019-20 schedule was released Thursday. It features 15 home events, including one exhibition and four non-conference games.

But the biggest highlights are road dates, which include a Nov. 19 game at the Big 12’s Oklahoma State and a Dec. 8 matchup at Arizona State, which played in the Sweet 16 a season ago.

Those games sandwich a Nov. 21 showdown at Duke and its famed Cameron Indoor Stadium. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Bengals and Blue Devils.

ISU’s other non-conference opponents include the regular-season opener Nov. 5 against Arizona Christian at Reed Gym, Dec. 16 versus California Baptist at home, and Dec. 19 at Utah State.

Cal Baptist played in last season’s Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), and Utah State played in the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBI).

ISU also hosts South Dakota School of Mines on Nov. 1 in an exhibition.

The Bengals begin Big Sky Conference play Dec. 28 at Idaho. ISU’s first home conference game is Jan. 4, 2020, against Sacramento State. Defending Big Sky tournament champion Portland State heads to Pocatello for a game Jan. 18.
