Idaho State volleyball ended the Washington State Cougar Challenge with a 3-2 loss to UT Arlington on Saturday in Pullman, Washington. The Bengals also dropped two matches Friday, 3-0 against Washington State and 3-0 against Liberty.
The Bengals took the first two sets from the Mavericks, 25-23 and 25-19.
UT Arlington won the next three sets, 25-18, 25-21, and 16-14.
“I like who we are becoming,” ISU coach Sammi Stuart said. “We were gritty and showed a lot of fight this afternoon. We need to work on stopping our opponent’s runs quicker.”
Duquesne Moratzka recorded 15 kills, Brooke Pehrson had 14, and Haylie Keck had 13 to lead Idaho State’s 54 total kills in the match.
Idaho State (3-7) continues its season Sept. 19-20 in Boise against Boise State and UC Irvine.
