“The boys are back” for Idaho State’s homecoming festivities this weekend in Pocatello.
Around 40 former ISU football players who played between 1959 and 1969 will gather for Friday afternoon golf, followed by food and drinks at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Saturday’s homecoming parade and the main event, ISU’s homecoming football game Saturday against North Dakota at Holt Arena.
Some of the former players returning this weekend include all-conference honorees Ron Arnold, Jerry Dunne, Dave Flynt, Boyd Hall, Louie Hurst, John Miller, Ben Sanford and Billy Satterfield. There will also be players from ISU’s 1963 Big Sky Conference championship team.
The homecoming parade starts at 9 a.m. Saturday on the corner of South First Avenue and East Center Street in Pocatello. The football game kicks off at 1:05 p.m.
Anyone who would like to reunite and share memories with the football alumni in attendance is invited to visit the Football Alumni Team (FAT) clubhouse tailgate area on the East side of Holt Arena. The tailgate will open three hours before kickoff.
