You can hold a friend's hand when she (he) is sick,
You can back her (him) a blueberry pie.
But it's hard being nice to anyone who
Is showing little respect for you
And it's exceedingly hard when you're trying to hide
Your feelings for someone you cannot abide.
It's easy being nice to someone you like;
Hard for those you don't.
But a measure of your character can be defined
By the respect you show everyone all of the time.
