On behalf of the kids, grandkids and extended family of Bud Ellis, I would like to give a HUGE "Thank You" to the Blackfoot Elks Lodge for selecting my 92-year-old dad this year to throw out the opening pitch at the Idaho Falls Chukars Aug. 14 baseball game. Lori, Scott, and the rest of the gang rolled out the red carpet for my dad, our family, and the other veterans they brought with them to the game.

They treated the veterans to food and drinks and even purchased the tickets to the game for them and for our entire family. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for my wonderful dad, who was brought to tears as he threw out the pitch. I couldn’t have been more proud of him and we will never forget your generosity and care for all of us, especially the veterans. May God Bless the Blackfoot Elks Lodge!

John Ellis,
