West Quinn crash

One of the cars that was totaled during Friday afternoon's multi-vehicle wreck on the West Quinn Road overpass on Pocatello's north side. A woman was injured in the crash.

POCATELLO — A woman was injured Friday afternoon in a five-vehicle wreck on a busy Pocatello overpass.

The chain-reaction crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. on the West Quinn Road overpass on Pocatello's north side.

The woman hurt in the crash was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Pocatello police said. Her name has not been released.

The woman's car and four other vehicles were traveling westbound over the West Quinn overpass when one of the vehicles rear-ended another, triggering the chain-reaction accident.

The crash partially blocked the overpass for more than 30 minutes, causing traffic to be backed up on West Quinn and other nearby roads.

At least two of the vehicles involved in the crash were totaled.

The accident remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
