LAVA HOT SPRINGS — Two people were injured in a late Sunday morning crash west of Lava Hot Springs.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Maughan Road near Highway 30.
One adult was airlifted via emergency helicopter to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello and another adult was transported via ground ambulance to PMC for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash, the Bannock County Sheriff's Office reported.
The names and conditions of the two accident victims have not yet been released.
The crash temporarily shut down both Maughan Road and Highway 30.
The emergency helicopter landed in a field near the crash scene to pick up the injured adult it transported to PMC.
Further details on the wreck have not yet been released.
The accident remains under investigation by the Bannock County Sheriff's Office.
