Idaho Power confirmed several homes remained without power after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday following a power outage that left about 2,600 customers without power for a short period of time.
One outage began at 9:31 a.m. and affects 26 customers, according to Idaho Power's outage map. Power is expected to be restored by noon and the cause is under investigation.
The utility reported that 2,600 customers were initially without power, and the vast majority of the homes had power restored in under an hour. The vast majority of the outages were in the Buckskin Road area or on the east bench in the vicinity of Jakers Bar and Grill.
It was reported at 10:14 a.m. and a crew has not been assigned. Power is estimated to be restored at 11:30 a.m.
A third outage affects 13 Pocatello customers and power is expected to be restored at 11:30 a.m. The cause of the outage is not known.
A fourth outage affects a single Pocatello customer and power should be restored by noon. Idaho Power also had four Blackfoot customers with outages. Power was expected to be restored to them by about 12:30 p.m.
