POCATELLO — Authorities arrested a 42-year-old Pocatello woman on drug-related charges early Thursday morning.
The incident began when Sami L. Barker was riding a bicycle on the 500 block of North Main around midnight, according to Pocatello police. They say she did not have a headlight on her bike.
An officer contacted Barker and, in the process, noticed some fresh needle marks on her arms, police said. After gaining her consent to search her bag, the officer found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue in it, two small baggies of methamphetamine and syringes.
The officer subsequently took Barker into custody.
Barker has since been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for using drug paraphernalia or possessing it with the intent to use it, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records.
