POCATELLO — The Pocatello Police Department has confirmed they’ve been experiencing problems with both 911 and nonemergency cellular calls for assistance made by Verizon Wireless customers.
“As a result, there may be some delay or disruption in calls made to the 911 dispatch center,” Pocatello police said in a press release. “These calls are going through. However, it is taking several rings on the caller’s end to actually connect.”
Police said Verizon and CenturyLink are working diligently to correct the problem, but it’s unclear how long the disruption will continue.
Police said the department is also working closely with the companies to quickly resolve the issue.
